HOW DID YOU GET INTO MARKETING?
When I began marketing events on campus at East Carolina University and people would show for the events, I knew I loved the challenge of marketing and the ability to have people get excited about something I was excited about.
WHAT EXCITES YOU ABOUT MARKETING?
The connectivity excites me. There is so much out there in the universe today for bouncing ideas, learning new techniques, and meeting new people.
WHAT IS YOUR ALL-TIME FAVORITE MARKETING CAMPAIGN?
Oreo's "Dunk in the dark" will always be my favorite campaign. The quick turnaround of it, and it's explosive-ness on social media was just plain brilliant.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE FORM OF DIGITAL MARKETING?
For me it's always going to be social media. You can craft it so many different ways, reach thousands of different audiences, and it's just fun to participate in. Social Media is always growing and changing so there's always something new to learn or test out!
WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR FAVORITE AMA EVENT?
The lunch-and-learns have been my favorite. They're a great opportunity to meet people as well as learn something new in marketing.
HOW HAS YOUR AMA MEMBERSHIP BENEFITED YOU PROFESSIONALLY?
Meeting new contacts is always an added bonus, but I've enjoyed the couple of events that I've been able to attend as well. I'm excited to visit more and continue to learn from my peers in Charlotte.
