Letter from the President
November 2025 | Charlotte AMA
Dear AMA Charlotte community,
As the air cools and the holidays approach, I’ve been thinking a lot about how grateful I am for this incredible community we’ve built together. Every month, I’m reminded that AMA Charlotte is more than an association — it’s a group of passionate, curious, and driven marketers who care deeply about connection, growth, and giving back.
That spirit was on full display during our Hornets Opening Night Fundraiser. The energy was contagious — laughter, networking, and genuine excitement filled every corner of the arena. We met new members, reconnected with familiar faces, and even had the unforgettable experience of holding the flag for the national anthem. In that moment, surrounded by the buzz of the crowd, I couldn’t help but think how lucky we are to live and work in a city that celebrates community the way Charlotte does.
Now, as we step into November, I’m carrying that same energy forward. Life is busy — and the AMA is no exception — but it’s the kind of busy that fills me with pride. Each event, each collaboration, and each new idea we bring to life is a reflection of the dedication of our members, volunteers, and board. I’m endlessly grateful for the people who show up — whether it’s to help plan an event, share their expertise, or simply make a new connection.
This month, we have several ways to come together and keep that momentum going. Our Start Your Day event at Panera in the Arboretum is the perfect way to kick off your morning with good coffee and great conversation. Later in the month, we’ll host a Lunch & Learn with Chris Cureton, where you’ll walk away with new ideas and insights to apply to your work. And we’ll wrap up with our Sunset Social at Brew Garden (formerly known as Another Brewery), where we’ll celebrate another successful month surrounded by creative minds who make this chapter so special.
We’re also looking for a few passionate members to join our leadership team. If you’ve ever thought about stepping into a board role, I encourage you to take that leap. We’re currently seeking a Vice President of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, as well as two new members for our Communications Team — a content creator and a social media manager. These are wonderful opportunities to lead, learn, and serve alongside a group of people who truly care about the marketing community in Charlotte.
As we enter the season of giving, I hope we each find time to give back in ways that feel meaningful — whether that’s mentoring a fellow marketer, attending an event, or simply showing up with curiosity and kindness. The Charlotte marketing community has given me so much over the years, and I’m grateful every day for the chance to pour that same energy back into it.
