We are looking for a Marketing Intern to work in our Mooresville, NC office. This unpaid internship for university credit will provide hands on digital media marketing experience and training on the agency management platform used by thousands of advertising professionals.


Responsibilities
• Work with Communications Specialist to execute internal and external campaigns.
• Write blog posts and optimize for SEO.
• Plan and participate in social media campaigns.
• Assist with video and photo shoots.

Soft-Tex International, Inc. - eCommerce intern

Soft-Tex International, Inc. is a leading manufacturer and supplier of bedding with a focus on innovation and new technologies. Soft-Tex has many well-known national brands touching more than 20 million consumers annual like SensorPEDIC, SensorGel, BioPEDIC, Therapedic, SwissLux, and much more carried at retailers like Amazon, Macy's, Bed Bath and Beyond, JCPenney, Dillard's, Belk, Walmart, and many others.

Soft-Tex is currently looking for an eCommerce intern to be based out of its Mooresville, NC Executive Office reporting to our eCommerce Coordinator on the Soft-Tex Digital Team. This internship is targeting juniors and seniors within 12 months of graduation. Successful interns will be offered a role as a full time analyst upon graduation.

Responsibilities:

  • Product Information Management: This role will learn Soft-Tex's product information management system, Salsify, and work with our in-house team of marketing analysts and graphics resources to develop and ensure accuracy of product content / assets for ecommerce products including descriptions, dimensions, pricing, videos, images, etc. are correct and built out in the portal.

  • Syndication of Products to Retailers: This role syndicate data to retailers on behalf of Soft-Tex overseeing product uploads, compliance with vendor guidelines, proper categorization, taxonomy, etc.

  • Client Relationship Management: This role will engage in contact eCommerce buyers or similar roles at retailers by phone, email, and in person through some travel.

  • Special Project: Collaboratively with the eCommerce Coordinator and Director of Digital Marketing, you will be assigned a special project based on your interests to work on over the course of your internship and present during your last week above and beyond assisting with other eCommerce coordination tasks.

Requirements:

  • Open ONLY to Juniors or Seniors in college within 12 months of graduation in relevant major

  • Minimum 3.2 GPA

  • Excellent computer skills w/ MS Office mastery, particularly Excel

  • Highly organized person with strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a deadline driven environment

  • Familiarity with online shopping, and internet marketing

  • Strong written & verbal communication skills

  • Ability to think creatively to identify and resolve problems

  • High levels of integrity, autonomy, and self-motivation

  • PLUS: previous eCommerce internship experience, home textile knowledge, experience with copy writing, etc.

Charlotte Radiology: Marketing - Intern

Responsibility for Charlotte Radiology's Annual Pink Pint Night event

Duties include:

•Update CR website & Atrium website with event information for fundraising, sponsorship & donations Secure auction items & fine-tune process for auction bidding and check out; Research mobile auction options Work with graphic designer and vendor for event day merchandise - (pint glasses, tees, etc) Develop sponsorship proposal; Follow up with past year sponsors and secure new sponsorship; establish regular communication and follow through with recognition based on sponsor level Promote VIP fundraising program; work with Atrium Foundation to update fundraising website; establish regular communication with registered VIP's to encourage fundraising and promote event day activities; track efforts

•Secure food vendors for the evening Plan and execute table & event day decorations Design and install event day signage/sponsor recognition. Book evening entertainment Secure emcee; improved sound system option and script Organize volunteers for set up and event night staffing Set up auction tables, signage, check out process Set up merchandise display and check out process Ensure a welcoming check in process and recognition program for PPN VIP fundraisers Coordinate photographer, videographer, sponsor tables/vendors (i.e. Pink hair extensions) and other fundraising opportunities at the event (i.e.Crowler) Develop tracking metrics for fundraising efforts (VIP, Sponsors,Merchandise, Auction, etc), media reach, attendance, website traffic, etc. Conduct post-event wrap up analysis

•Promote internally to CR employees and patients work with social media team and design team to execute social media strategy set up and utilize FB event page to promote event Work with I heart media to produce radio spots and digital ads design and install promotional signage, coasters, save the dates Work with Communications Specialist to develop a press release and PR campaign to ensure promotion of PPN via news outlets (TV, Print, Digital)

JazzArts: Social Media & Marketing Intern

Do you enjoy jazz and wish to expand your experience in digital media? JazzArts Charlotte is searching for an intern that will play an integral part in developing our message and engage our audiences across the digital media landscape and various social platforms.

The successful candidate will get the opportunity to attend, record and promote all JazzArts Charlotte events through social media. They will also be responsible for additional content creation, maintaining social media accounts, monitoring and engaging in online forums, participating in outreach and promotion, and conducting analysis.

This position is a learning opportunity for a college student to engage in hands-on experience focused in Social Media Marketing. The qualified intern will need strong critical thinking skills and will be expected to manage a variety of defined tasks, and complete deliverables on-time as requested.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety in the day-to-day routine and is looking to gain experience in a fast-paced environment.
