Sr. SEO Manager

Job Description

The Sr. SEO Manager is responsible for creating the strategy for client websites that will grow revenue and ensure the client's SEO objectives are met. This role is creative, technical and managerial, responsible for contributing to strategic planning and execution of campaigns plus also mentoring the team members. There is an expectation that the Senior SEO Manager will provide thought-leadership, best practice approaches, innovation and guidance to ensure the client's website ranks well in the SERPs and drives traffic to the website. This person will work across multiple departments and many stakeholders to ensure success. This individual must have client-facing skills and experience in content management and planning. Will also audit content and webpages to make sure they are optimized. 



5-8+ years of professional experience

Intellectually curious and very strong analytical skills including experience with Excel data manipulation and V-lookup, pivot tables (SQL skills preferred) to pull data, analyze it, and then determine what actions to take

Prior leadership experience managing 2 or more direct reports

Proficiency in Google Analytics

Experience in any of the following (or related tools): SEMrush, Majestic, Nozzle, Stat, Serpwoo

Content management, content optimization, and content planning experience

Project management experience

Experience and confidence presenting in front of large audiences

UX design experience (how a customer would engage with a website)

Client-facing experience

Great communication skills, ability to work with different types of people (C-level, engineers, sales, creative teams, IT)

Experience in developing strategies to build and improve content

Domain experience with publishing companies with digital online content is required
